Indy Bash

This is a three day event Aug 15-17. How many are wanting to go for all three days or just Saturday and Sunday? I know Rob, Fish and myself are wanting to get a hotel room but some hotels are already booked so we need to decide soon and get a block of rooms booked. It sounds like we will need more rooms then what we had at Slamology. Good news is using Priceline we can usually get the rooms cheaper then the event price. Bad news is there is no guaranty we can get a hotel with a pool, the rooms have to be paid in full up front, there are no refunds. and some of the event hotels are requiring a two night stay. I will be happy to book and put them on my credit card but I'm only going to book the rooms that are covered in advance.

Any thoughts?

Rob and I tried for almost and hour trying the get a nice room at a good rate and finally got a room at the Marriott for $157 (total) for two nights so if 6 people sleep in a room it would be $26.20 per person for the whole weekend. I used Priceline and bid $64 per night to get the room. The hotel is 7.93 miles from the event. If you want me to book a room for you then get me the $ as soon as possible.

are the females going to this show,bc cam was wanting to go. and ill role with you friday afternoon fisher, bc I don't get off work til 4. and me and cam can stay in ur room if that's cool, if earl stays also, I will just bring my airm matress and sleep on it.

Ok guys the clock is ticking. I have one room registered and I have received money from Mike for a room. I have also received $ from Fish and Justin but they need another couple of people for that room which I think is Rob and Sami.

***IMPORTANT****

I thought I could just add rooms to my existing order but Priceline does not allow that. I must go through the bidding process again. Priceline does not guaranty we will get the same hotel, chances are we will but to be safe I would like to book the next and last group rooms together.

If you plan on going and to get the best deal ($27 per person based on 6 per room) you need to get a group together. At least post in here that you are definitely going so I know how many additional rooms we need and who to collect from.

I'm going to book the rooms on July 28. If you have not made arrangements with me it will be up to you to take care of your own lodging!

*****GOOD NEWS*****

It looks like we are going to get some additional discounts for Indy Bash. We will get the $5 off the pre-registration cost if we register 5 or more cars, that would be $35 if we registered before Aug 8th. Also we may get some additional cost breaks and benefits I will be talking to the promoter of ITB again on the 29th.

I need some help getting a really good count of how many cars we will be registering and how many people will be going. Someone needs to step up or be assigned to contact the other clubs and get an idea of their participation. This information will help me negotiate with ITB. I'll let everyone know what we get worked out. I hope to have a couple surprises. Everyone will need to go to the registration page and print the form, fill it out and give it and the $ to me or Jesse. Jesse will take care of the registration on Aug 6th. After That you will need to take care of it yourself and you will miss the additional discounts.

I'm doing what I can to reduce the cost and spread it out so you won't be hit all at once but understand that we are not going to be calling and reminding everyone about the amounts or dates.

Car Registration will be faxed August 6th at 10:00am
