| Below is how the positions are defined in the ARCC bylaws. Zack, your not the only officer that has not fully understood their responsibilities. A lot of questions and confusion would be significantly reduced if everybody including the members would read them. I know it was mentioned at the meeting that you and Corey would probably need to work together on some events/activities. Based on the how the responsibilities are currently written it could possibly go either way but it leans more to you. When we wrote these the thought was the SC would take care of any activity where the members and their rides would be staying/parking in some sort of show capacity especially activities where the club would be traveling together or meeting in a location that is outside the weekly meeting location. We may need to revise these a little bit to eliminate some of the confusion. (E) PUBLIC REPRESENTATIVE: He/she will seek ways to help build membership, create ideas, and help promote and maintain interest for and by its members. He/she will be responsible for organizing and distributing the yearly newsletter. He/she is responsible for any fund raising or any activity (not show related) that ARCC would attend (example parades, car washes). He/she will be responsible for keeping track of member appreciation and recognition awards. (F) SHOW COORDINATOR: He/she is responsible for defining and posting a list of potential shows that ARCC could attend. He/she is responsible for coordinating and organizing ARCC attended activities. These duties include defining departure times and location, making sure all ARCC materials (tents, banners, grill, corn hole board and other items) are accounted for, making sure that all ARCC members have their club shirts and their orange game shirts. If He/she is unable to attend the event they must appoint a member in good standing to fulfill his/her duties. He/she is responsible for posting via the forum all events that ARCC members will be attending. | |

| Enough already! I get sick of everyone pointing fingers. This club has enough problems from people outside of it and I don't understand why someone with in it is so anxious to start something with other "club" members. Does it make sense that something as simple as a phone call couldn't be done but it's no problem to get on here and make digs and jabs at each other, you are supposed to be united! It's a simple fix, if you can't fallow through with something just ask someone else to do it. If you think something is not getting done step up and do it but at least contact the person you think should be handling it and find out if they can or can't get it done. No one is getting paid, there is no gold stars or sad face decals put up somewhere for everyone to see just the satisfaction of supporting "YOUR" club. Zack to be honest I re-read the entire topic and I certainly got the the impression that you were going to call them and that others expected you to do it. - yellow pro5 wrote:

This is a no big deal issue. You guys need to work together on most of these events. One of Corey responsibilities is to notifying everyone when something is going on including the weekly cruise-ins that's what was discussed at the first meeting. Zack you are responsible for finding shows and events that the club should/could attend, organizing, making sure any club owned materials needed for those events are taken and accounted for or appointing someone else to do it if you can't.

| I hate all this ridicules squabbling. This club is no different than any other club I have been involved with. There is only a handful of members willing to step up and do something while the majority sit around waiting for an activity to show up to. Zack does a lot to promote this club and he may drop the ball occasionally but he doesn't even compare to those who do nothing. Why is it he gets hammered on everything and especially on this public forum? (It's a rhetorical question I do not want any responses to it!!) If someone has an issue with someone else don't discuss it here on the forum, don't text them, man up and talk to them face to face. There is a girl in Florida who is critical condition after being beaten nearly to death. She may never recover fully from her injuries. Beaten over a misinterpreted text that wasn't to the person that beat her and they didn't even know her or the whole situation. | |
