so I do belive that I have spun a rod bearing I have spoken with my wife and I have $1200 to put in to my engine! depending on the damage I may do some performace while im n there. so what do u guys sugest thought bout bore it get pistons maybe a cam and gear seals for boost biger turbo..... ????

sounds good...but just to let you know boring the motor wont make a huge differance unless its fully built...i was gonna do the exact samething you want to do in my mr2 but greddy said it would be a waste to bore it unless its built...idk though....

Upgrade the hard parts first things that would require pulling the motor. Stronger rotating assembly (usually forged) with good rods, crank, pistons and bolts that will handle more than you think you will need. Large pistons and a bore won't set you back any real $$ but good parts will. Make sure the pistons are designed for a boosted motor they usually have a thicker land height. Make sure the rotating assembly is balanced. It's never a problem to have strength and not use it. Cam and heads would be the next on the list, Not sure about your motor but on some the cam can be changed without pulling the motor.

I would do some research on performance building your type and size motor.

hey guys thanks for the advice! and jerry that's a good idea and I don't think I haf to pull it to do the cam and head but the reason I said bore was incase the walls are scared... but I dono..... still open for sugestions and im def doin research but sofar all I can find is stupid people saying ''oh just do a K20 swap'' '' the 1.7 sucks and is a pain'' ........ hmm K20 lol any 1 got $10,000 lol jk
