Slamology

Below is the list of everyone that is now registered. I talked with the folks at Slamology and they will allow us to add additional people at the discounted rate until Monday. It is a 2hr drive to the event. There are club participation trophies and club games scheduled. Registration is Fri 2pm-9pm Sat 8:00am-4:00pm. We really need to get everyone together and finalize some plans. We need to decide on what time we are leaving and if we are camping or staying at a hotel. The event hotels range from $60 + tax (Super "8") to $89 + tax (Marriot). The closest campground is a KOA and is about 15min from the event. Single tent primitive sites are around $25. It might be worth it to try to bid on some rooms through Priceline"

Club Games

Teams of 5 people will compete to be the club games champion.

9am till 11am. 1st game starts at 11am.

The contest is a bracket contest in these categories.

Bracket challenge/Points breakdown
Dodgeball 1st place = 6 points, 2nd place = 3 points, 3rd place = 1 point
Volleyball 1st place = 6 points, 2nd place = 3 points, 3rd place = 1 point
Tug-o-War 1st place = 4 points, 2nd place = 2 points, 3rd place = 1 point

we must have been posting @ the same time that's funny....I wouldn't mind trying to go sunday to show, but I don't think I will have the $ after sat....will try to see what we can do tho....

we all meet at the shop on saturday at 7 am to leave...and everyone should figure out if they are stayin in the car tent or hotel....and we cant stay at the show

ok, but we were already gona win bc I am on the team. lol

I was able to get three rooms with two double beds at the Marriot for $78 a room (that includes tax and service fees) . If (19) people stay that would be $12.50 per person. It does have an indoor and outdoor pool. Check in is usually after 4pm but if the rooms are available we can get in them after 10am. Bring a sleeping bag an pillow because some people will be sleeping on the floor.....NOT ME!!!!

There was plenty of competition so those wins are far from hollow victories. Well over 500 cars and trucks, according to the Slamology staff. For those who couldn't attend, you really missed a great time. This event showed the value of being a car club member and attending as a club. The Slamology staff even gave ARCC some kudos at the awards ceremony which I thought was great!
