Is anyone proficient at Microsoft Access? Chris Swag. and I are talking about creating a database to use at our car show.

Chris Swag. found an Excel file on line but it needs work. I just thought that with the information we want to use and the queries would probably require an Access database. If someone is good enough with Excel then lets get it going.

let me talk to emily about it cause she took IT (information technology) in high school for 4 years and shes pretty good with all the computer crap. i know a little about excel so i may be of some help

i'm not that good in microsoft access.. I'm more of a powerpoint and excel and word.. thats about it. but I'm willing to help if need be..

What we need is:

Entry #: (automatic sequential)
Class: (should be a list of classes to scroll through and pick from. Plus the ability to easily add classes)
Name: (I Don't think we need to separate first and last name)
Email:
Club Affiliation:
Year:
Make:
Model:
Judge 1 scores: (Columns defined by Judging sheets)
Judge 2 scores: (Columns defined by Judging sheets)
Judge 3 scores: (Columns defined by Judging sheets)
Total score: (The total score for all three judges)
Best of show: (highest score over all)
Best Paint: (this should be a yes or no box)
Best Interior: (this should be a yes or no box)
Greene Leaf Pick: (this should be a yes or no box)
Pink ladies Pick: (this should be a yes or no box)
Best Paint: (this should be a yes or no box)

Be able to create a list separated by class and score for highest to lowest and a list with just highest to lowest score for all entries so we could do a top ?

Be able to create a list of all the "Best" and Club Participation.

To be honest.. i think we can do this in excel also... I can mess around with it if you want... and is this like.. per person that shows up or for everyone? cause if its per person then you really don't need to have all the other stuff under the total score, right? I'm just asking so I can mess around with it...

The total score will be the combined scores for all the judging categories for each judge.

Example:

Judge 1: Interior, engine, paint, mods/original, interior, cleanliness...
Judge 2: Interior, engine, paint, mods/original, interior, cleanliness...
Judge 3: Interior, engine, paint, mods/original, interior, cleanliness...

I tried to figure out a way to make each separate table into 1 group by their class but i can't figure it out.. so I'm kinda stuck there...so I dunno if i can help you out jerry.. =[ I'm sorry.. I tried though.. hah
